National Rimfire Benchrest Association of Ireland (NRBAI)​

Welcome to the National Rimfire Benchrest Association Of Ireland. We are the governing body for Rimfire Benchrest shooting in Ireland.

We are affiliated with both the ERABF and the WRABF with some of our members here in Ireland having been part of these international bodies in various positions.

The Association was set up in the 2000s with the goal of promoting the sport here in Ireland and allowing our members to compete internationally.

Our Teams have competed in both the European Championships, World Championship and World Cup. Team medals have been won in both Heavy Varmint (Heavy Rifle) and International Sporter. Our Team members regularly come in the top 20 places at these competitions, which is impressive considering that most of these competitions have over 100 Compeditors in each class and over 30 Teams entered in each.

International open competitions are often competed in by our members with regular attendance at the most famous The BR50 in Germany, where two of our members have won, with many others coming very close.

We organize 9 competitions a year which are open to any member of a Target shooting club, along with running a League table for Association Members. We are the recording body for all national titles and records for the sport here in Ireland. Using the League table we select the National Teams which represent Ireland Internationally, along with giving assistance with funding for our compeditors to travel to these events.

Our members area provides access to current results as well as historical results and records, allowing our members to stay updated with the latest developments in the sport.
